Job Title: :Government Engagement and Training Specialist
Job Type: :1099 Independent Contractor. You will not be considered an employee of the company. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and insurance. No benefits, no equipment, no tax withholding, or unemployment insurance is provided.
The initial contract will be 8 hours per week day through February 28, 2026: with the potential for the contract to be extended.
Location: Remote within the United States but strong preference will be given to contractors located near Honolulu. Secondary preference will go to contractors near a major military installation.

Position Summary: :Government engagement and training specialists directly assist with and often lead training events, as well as develop training materials. They are central to building relationships with clients through the development of e-learning and informational materials, email communications, and in-person or virtual events. They help develop self guided learning materials and content, including training videos, presentations, and interactive web pages. They are also the first line of response for client questions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Engagement (30%):
Interact with government clients in person, over the phone, and through email to build and maintain relationships.
Identify and connect clients who could benefit from a mutual relationship.
Keep customer relationship management (CRM) platform up to date.
Manage account access to Tesla’s technical solutions.
Create informational and promotional videos.
Analyze client behavior metrics to identify promising outreach avenues.
Training (55%):
Maintain expert knowledge of all aspects of Tesla’s technical solutions to ensure proper training is given to clients.
Develop and build a training program under the guidance of the Director of Training and Outreach.
Conduct standardized virtual and in-person trainings of varying lengths and custom trainings tailored to specific government clients.
Create e-learning and other self-guided training materials.
Update training materials as technical capabilities change.
Support (15%):
Answer clients’ technical questions and requests for support.
Troubleshoot for clients.
Identify bugs and suggest user interface improvements.

Develops and documents new and better ways to get stuff done.
Required Qualifications:
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Experience working with the DOD or IC
Experience with APAN, MilSuite, C2IE, EDA, or any MPE platform
Active clearance
US citizen
Fluent in English
4 years of government/military experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience creating and/or editing e-learning videos.
Experience with customer service platforms like Zendesk.
Familiar with SQL
Located on Oahu or near a major military installation
