Legal Operations Consultant Part Time Job Details
Overview
We are a group of experienced legal administrators supporting established and small law firms, as well as start-ups, in all areas of operations. We are seeking an experienced legal management specialist to join our team. The position will be remote, with some travel required to meet with the team and/or conduct on-site client visits. We are seeking a commitment of at least 20 hours per week, with some flexibility.
Our clients range from solo practitioners to firms with 40 or more attorneys located across the country. DLC Consulting Services was founded in 2013 and continues to grow.
Primary Functions
- Coordinate law firm start-ups from soup to nuts.
- Assess law firm operations in the areas of Finance, IT, Human Resources, and Operations.
- Provide Fractional Legal Administrator support to small firms.
- Implement changes in processes and procedures.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement legal software.
- Develop and document law firm procedures in all areas, such as client intake, onboarding, and billing.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and abilities:
- 5+ years of experience managing law firms with direct responsibility for human resources, information technology, financial management, and facilities.
- Substantial project management experience, including software implementations.
- Experience with law firm billing and accounts payable.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing law firm profitability.
- Strong change management skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and foster positive and professional working relationships.
- Ability to communicate concepts and information effectively and respectfully in writing and orally.
- Ability to develop trusted relationships with staff, attorneys, and firm management.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
