Continuous Improvement Director – Electrical Products Part Time Remote Job Details
Job Title: Continuous Improvement Director – Electrical Products
Location: Must be located in or commutable to corporate offices in South Carolina, New Hampshire, or Connecticut – 50% travel
Compensation: $180,000 to $210,000 base + 25% bonus + LTIs
Irving Knight are partnered with a leading public American manufacturer of electrical and electronic products looking to add a Director of Continuous Improvement to support operations by implementing and sustaining Lead Manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the strategic development, management, coordination across all 25 sites in North & South America, and the execution of continuous improvement objectives
- Coordinate and prioritize Kaizen activities, including planning events and preparing accurate data – Monitor and report on 90-day sustainment of improvements
- Implement and sustain Lean processes to enhance efficiency, quality, labor, equipment use, layout, and costs for all products
- Conduct strategic footprint analysis, manage related projects, improve processes, provide training, and enhance equipment selection and maintenance (OEE)
- Identify, plan, lead and execute continuous improvement actions that reduce cost, cycle time, and lead time while increasing safety, quality, and repeatability
- Support plant-wide Safety initiatives
- Manage automation and project engineers
- Run a continuous improvement team, lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles throughout the manufacturing process
Requirements:
- Must have Electrical/Power System manufacturing/plant management experience
- Must have Lean Manufacturing – certification highly desirable
- Ability to travel 50%+
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Management or other related field
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Ability to develop and implement performance management methods to track operational performance and progress
