Remote Math Teaching Assistant Job Details | Part Time Jobs in United States
Think Academy’s Middle School Math Competition team is looking for a part-time, remote teaching assistant to provide in-class and after-class assistance to our AMC10 students. Teaching assistants will guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and develop profound problem solving skills. Responsibilities include keeping the class proceeding in an orderly fashion, answering student questions, communicating with parents about absences, reminding students to submit homework, grading homework, guiding students to office hours, providing timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and performances, helping maintain the WeCom parent group, recording video explanations for homework problems, and editing textbooks and other learning materials. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field, with advanced degrees or AMC10 competition experience preferred, fluency in English and Chinese, passion for education, responsibility and responsiveness for remote work, weekend availability, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Benefits include flexible remote work, $25/hour teaching fee, $16-20/hour non-teaching fee, and a 15% target performance bonus. Think Academy is an equal opportunity employer.
