Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and other necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
- Represent clients in adoption proceedings and litigation, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.
- Provide legal advice on a variety of issues related to adoption law and child welfare.
- Collaborate with principal attorney.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office to ensure compliance with all legal standards.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients’ cases.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the Florida.
- Strong knowledge of adoption law and child welfare.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Proven research skills with experience using legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Prior legal administrative experience is preferred but not mandatory.
