Jr. eCommerce (B2B) UAT Tester

eCommerce (B2B) UAT Tester to join our growing digital commerce team. This role will be responsible for validating new features, enhancements, and fixes in our B2B eCommerce platform from an end-user perspective before they are released to production. The UAT Tester will represent business stakeholders by executing test scenarios, creating testing scripts, reviewing requirements, validating workflows, and ensuring the platform supports real-world customer and business use cases. They may also be asked to deliver demos to business stakeholders during UAT cycles to showcase progress, gather feedback, and support sign-off.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about quality, understands customer-facing processes, and thrives in a demanding environment. Success in this role will be measured by accurate test coverage, early identification of gaps, and helping ensure smooth releases with minimal post-go-live issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Preparation: Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and
scripts based on business requirements and user stories.
Test Execution: Conduct thorough testing of the eCommerce platform, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing, to identify and document defects.
Defect Management: Log defects, collaborate closely with developers to
reproduce and resolve issues, and verify fixes.
Collaboration: Work with product owners, business analysts, developers, and
stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify ambiguities, and ensure
comprehensive test coverage.
Reporting: Provide detailed test execution reports, including defect status, test
coverage, and overall quality assessment.
User Training and Support: Assist in developing user training materials and provide support during training sessions.
Defect & Issue Management: Identify, log, and track defects with clear business impact and reproduction steps. Collaborate with teams to retest fixes and confirm acceptance. Prioritize issues based on business and customer impact. Monitor platform readiness during UAT cycles and escalating blockers promptly.
Collaboration, Demos & Documentation: Partner with product managers,
business analysts, and implementation teams to validate requirements. Conduct
UAT demos for stakeholders, participate in sprint reviews, release readiness
meetings, and UAT sign-o? sessions. Prepare UAT documentation including test
plans, scripts, reports, and sign-off approvals.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement in the testing process and contribute to the development of best practices. Document detailed business requirements and analyze them into functional specifications for testing, ensuring all requirements are accurately reflected in the test cases and scenarios.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Over 3 years in software testing, particularly in UAT or business
acceptance testing, with familiarity in test management tools like Azure DevOps
and Playwright.
Technical Skills: Proficient in writing and executing structured test cases and
scripts, using issue tracking tools such as Azure DevOps and JIRA, and having basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools. Understanding cross-browser and mobile testing is also required in addition to Playwright & Gif.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, documentation skills, ability to think like an end-user, strong collaboration and communication skills, confidence in
presenting solutions to stakeholders, and adaptability in demanding environments.
Nice to Have: Business Analyst skills, experience in creating user stories,
acceptance criteria, and process flows, and the ability to bridge business and
technical discussions to align UAT with business needs. A focus on quality is also
desirable
