Rare Element Resources, Ltd. (“RER”) is a publicly traded mineral resource company with proven rare earth mineral interests within the Bear Lodge Project, in northeast Wyoming. RER is currently developing a rare earth processing and separation demonstration plant with its strategic partner, General Atomics, an affiliate of the Company’s majority shareholder, Synchron. The demonstration plant, located in Upton, Wyoming, will process already stockpiled material from the Bear Lodge Project, and potentially rare earth concentrates from third parties, utilizing the Company’s proprietary technology. The demonstration project is being completed under a cost-share cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
Job Description:
The Company is seeking a full-time Director of Operations to oversee the completion of construction in late 2025 and operations in 2026 of the rare earth demonstration plant project in Upton, Wyoming as well as manage consultants as they resume permitting and licensing of the Bear Lodge Rare Earth Project. The position will report directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer and the Upton plant manager will report to the Director of Operations .The position is remote, however, requires substantial time at the Company’s rare earth demonstration plant in Upton, Wyoming.
Responsibilities
The Director of Operation’s responsibilities will include:
Rare Earth Processing Demonstration Plant: Responsible for the operations and optimization of the Company’s rare earth separations demonstration plant in Upton, Wyoming including but not limited to:
Bear Lodge Project: Responsible for oversight and management of the contractor for the Bear Lodge Project permitting and technical development.
Report to the President and Chief Executive Officer and participate as a member of the management team in furtherance of Company goals by:
Perform all duties that are reasonable and consistent with this position, as well as other duties as may be assigned by the CEO.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Candidates must hold a science degree(s) in appropriate chemical, mechanical or process engineering in the natural resource sector preferred or at least 15 years of commercial operations management and project management experience in lieu of an advanced degree. Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
