Position Summary: Witherite Law Group and associated companies seeks professionals who want to join a high-performing team committed to working together to accomplish our mission and uphold our values of People First, Unmatched Expertise, and Integrity Always. The Litigation Assistant at Witherite Law Group will manage a caseload of 50-80 personal injury cases, ensuring all aspects of litigation are handled efficiently and effectively. This role requires the ability to track case data accurately in Filevine, prepare trial binders, and manage case documents in a digital, paperless environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of personal injury cases, particularly involving motor vehicle accidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a working knowledge of personal injury cases in all phases of litigation.
- Effectively manage a case load of 50 – 80 cases.
- Accurately track case data in case management software, Filevine.
- Ability to operate in a ‘paperless’ environment, and to organize, distribute case documents digitally.
- Responsible for preparing for and assembling Trial Binders and other case documents.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person and email
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software (Filevine preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle accidents
- Excellent organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Professional appearance and behavior
- Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information

Chicago Pay Range: $62,500 USD – $62,500 USD
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove – Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
- Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information – The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess – The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
