Russell Tobin and Associates is seeking a Public Relations Coordinator for our global retail client working a hybrid schedule in Manhattan, NY.
Job Title: Public Relations Coordinator-Editorial, Events & Influencer Partnerships
Pay: $32.00/hr. to $34.40/hr. (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Days
Location: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 5 months, possible extension
Responsibilities:
Editorial & Events
- Support real-time monitoring of press articles and social media mentions during campaign launches.
- Track media coverage and impressions; compile and distribute weekly press and social media roundups.
- Assist in drafting and distributing media alerts and internal coverage summaries.
- Coordinate all editorial sample requests including gathering, shipping, and tracking reports.
- Manage seasonal sample orders for press previews and maintain press closet organization.
- Support the development of evergreen pitch angles, franchise story ideas, and coordinate with internal/external PR partners for execution.
- Assist with agenda preparation, meeting notes, and tracking follow-up actions with deadlines and deliverables.
- Draft PR communication materials, including talking points, FAQs, and fact-check messaging with internal copy teams.
- Assist in the logistics planning for PR events (consumer pop-ups, influencer events, press previews, in-store activations).
- Liaise with production agencies, vendors (e.g., floral, catering), and internal departments (security, visuals, social media, etc.).
- Travel may be required for select PR events and activations.
Influencer & VIP Partnerships
- Assist in the ideation and sourcing of influencer and campaign talent for brand collaborations.
- Coordinate product orders for influencer campaigns and content capture under tight deadlines.
- Manage VIP seedings and placements, including custom and archive requests.
- Work cross-functionally with the sample team to ensure high-profile VIP placements.
- Support the vetting, onboarding, and content approval of new members in the VS & PINK Creator Program.
- Sort influencer-generated content and distribute internally for marketing amplification.
- Assist with on-site logistics for influencer and social content events, collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in PR, influencer marketing, events, or related field (fashion, beauty, lifestyle preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Experience working with media databases, PR tracking platforms, or influencer marketing tools a plus.
- Must be able to work cross-functionally with diverse teams and vendors.
- Comfortable with occasional travel for events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred.
