The Opportunity: Chief Sales Officer
We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Chief Sales Officer to architect and lead the company’s entire sales function from a fully remote capacity. This is a true greenfield opportunity; you will be responsible for building our entire revenue generation engine from the ground up. To facilitate this, we have already aggregated tens of thousands of raw leads that await a sophisticated strategy for qualification and conversion. As a member of the founding leadership team, you will be instrumental in turning this raw potential into a predictable revenue stream and driving the company’s growth.
This role is initially a 1099 commission-based contract, designed for a true entrepreneurial partner. The immediate focus will be on proving the sales model by securing foundational keystone clients. Upon the successful closing of our initial funding round, this position is intended to transition into a full-time, salaried executive role with a competitive compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Team Building: Develop the vision for the Ceyepher Security sales organization. Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team once the initial sales process is proven and scalable.
- Sales Strategy & GTM Execution: Design and execute a comprehensive sales strategy from scratch. Define sales territories, implement sales methodologies, and establish the playbook for market penetration.
- Revenue Growth & Target Achievement: Assume ownership of all revenue-generating activities and be accountable for meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Innovative Process Design: Pioneer and integrate innovative technologies, including AI-driven sales agents, to create a highly efficient and scalable lead qualification and sales process.
- Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation to close. Implement systems for accurate forecasting and reporting to the leadership team.
- Foundational Leadership (Player-Coach): Initially, take a hands-on approach to lead from the front. Personally drive high-level business development and close the first anchor clients to define and validate the sales model.
- Business Development & Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate revenue-generating partnerships with resellers, MSPs, and key industry influencers.
Compensation & Structure
This is a unique opportunity with significant financial upside tied directly to performance.
- Initial Phase (1099 Contract): You will earn a substantial commission of 30% per client for the first three months of each account you personally secure. This uncapped structure rewards the critical initial effort of building our client base.
- Future State (Post-Funding): The CSO role is planned to convert to a competitive salaried position, inclusive of performance bonuses and salary increases. This transition will be executed in alignment with our funding milestones.
Qualifications
- Extensive executive-level experience in sales leadership, sales strategy, and business development, preferably within the cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise technology sector.
- A demonstrable track record of building and scaling high-performance sales teams and developing GTM strategies that have driven significant revenue growth.
- Proven ability to operate in a player-coach capacity, capable of both high-level sales strategy and hands-on execution of complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Experience in a startup environment is highly desirable; an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and build processes from scratch is essential.
- Mastery of modern sales methodologies, CRM platforms, and sales analytics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire a team and represent the company at an executive level.
