Western Veterinary Partners is searching for a remote veterinary Support Staff Recruiter to help us attract, hire, and engage with the best people in the veterinary industry. This individual will partner with our Hospital Managers, Operations and Human Resources teams to manage and expand day-to-day support staff recruiting activities. Support Staff Recruiters facilitate all hiring across hospital support teams within their region, with a higher level of focus on sourcing and interviewing technical candidates including Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants. Candidates should reside in the Eastern United States.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician with leadership experience preferred; candidates with substantial veterinary experience will also be considered.
- Recruiting experience is strongly preferred, though candidates with 3+ years of veterinary hospital management experience, including interviewing and hiring responsibilities, are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and excels in both administrative organization and interpersonal relationship-building.
- Outgoing and personable, with the ability to spend extended periods engaging with candidates via phone and video conferencing.
- Proficient in computer applications, including social media platforms and recruiting tools.
- Possesses strong written communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Exhibits a team-oriented mindset and adaptability in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Brings a positive, solution-focused attitude to all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and regularly update candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Source, screen, and facilitate the hiring process for support staff positions across the assigned region, while maintaining consistent communication with candidates and field leadership.
- Create and proofread job advertisements, ensuring accurate and engaging content across platforms like Indeed and other recruitment sites.
- Partner with hiring managers and interview teams to provide strategic hiring support and guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including onboarding communications, tracking promotions, managing employee referrals, recognizing work anniversaries, and conducting exit interviews.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including drafting offer letters, facilitating completion of new hire documentation, and serving as a primary point of contact.
- Travel occasionally to attend career fairs, industry conferences, or practice visits.
- Analyze trends and feedback to enhance the onboarding experience and optimize recruiting processes.
- Generate and interpret standard reports from the ATS, providing insights and maintaining accurate recruitment data.
- Respond promptly to student inquiries via phone and email, redirecting questions as appropriate.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the broader recruiting team as needed.
Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The compensation range for this opportunity is $70,000 – $80,000. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
