The Role
We are seeking a COO with a proven track record of serial M&A execution in a blue-collar, multi-location industry. This is not a learning role — you have already led the integration of multiple acquired businesses, driven operational performance post-close, and managed a portfolio P&L at scale. You will oversee day-to-day performance across all Roofer.com portfolio companies, with a focus on cost optimization, vendor consolidation, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
Operational Leadership Across the Portfolio
- Own P&L performance across all acquired companies
- Drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cash flow improvement
- Maintain consistent KPI reporting and accountability at the GM level
Serial M&A Integration
- Lead operational diligence on acquisition targets
- Oversee post-close integration of multiple businesses per year
- Ensure smooth transitions that retain key talent and customer relationships
Vendor & Cost Optimization
- Negotiate national and regional supplier agreements
- Consolidate purchasing to leverage scale for cost savings
- Implement operational best practices to reduce waste and increase productivity
Leadership & Culture
- Directly manage all General Managers in the portfolio
- Recruit and develop operational leaders who can scale with the company
- Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability and ownership
Strategic Partnership with CEO & CFO
- Collaborate with the CEO on growth strategy and operational priorities
- Partner with the CFO to align financial targets with operational execution
- Turn financial results into actionable operational improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years in senior operations leadership within a blue-collar, multi-location industry
- Proven experience integrating multiple acquisitions in a roll-up or PE-backed platform
- Direct P&L oversight of $50M+ in revenue
- Strong background in cost optimization and vendor negotiations
- Skilled in leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams
- Able to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational execution
