Job Description
To provide information regarding Florida Recovery Center services to potential patients and referral sources in a high-volume call center environment based on Shands Psychiatric Hospital (SPH) and the Florida Recovery Center program protocols. Convey program benefits, gather and electronically document demographic information and direct callers to appropriate site for clinical intervention.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Associates degree in a relevant field preferred. Two (2) to four (4) years clerical/customer service experience preferred–ideally in a health care or hospitality-related industry working with a concierge-style service model. One (1) year experience with patient registration, billing, third party payors, and/or physician practice operations strongly preferred. The required high level of general computer literacy may be demonstrated by successful past experience with a variety of computer software packages and/or proprietary systems. Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. Must be able to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations. Must be able to multi-task effectively, maintaining a high standard of patient focus while making generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria. A working knowledge of medical terminology would be helpful. Individuals in recovery encouraged. Recovering professionals must have minimum of three years of continuous sobriety immediately preceding and concurrent with hire date. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose Licensure/Certification/Registration: Successfully complete Customer Service Certification requirements according to UFJHI course schedule. Maintain Customer Service Certification by annual assessment.
