Job Summary:

In the Data Analyst position, you will play a crucial role in shaping data-driven strategies and contribute to the success of Big Data initiatives by designing and deploying advanced data science solutions. Responsibilities include analyzing data trends, building predictive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
• Craft and maintain data infrastructure with the Data Engineering team by translating business requirements from business partners to data models that will enable reporting, dashboards and segmentation.
• Utilize technologies to collect, clean, analyze, predict, and effectively communicate information
• Proactively analyze data and trends to provide insights and recommendations that drive business strategies.
• Build, validate, and optimize predictive models using machine learning algorithms to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality and consistency by cleaning, transforming, and normalizing data, while maintaining a central source of truth.
• Contribute to data security and confidentiality by maintaining appropriate access controls, encryption and backup procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Global Strategic Marketing, Quality, etc. to identify data needs and provide data-driven solutions.
• Provide training and support to team and business partners to enhance data literacy.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in data science and machine learning to continually improve data analysis methodologies and techniques.
• Proactive thinking and ideation to facilitate ongoing, open dialogue where information and ideas are shared to generate solutions.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and propose data-driven solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies and findings.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Data Analytics, computer Science, Statistics or similar discipline including Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of work-related experience.
• Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization and data mining, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques and data visualization.
• Knowledge of or direct experience with Databricks and/or Apache Spark.
• Programming language and tool experience, ideally in Python, R, Scala and SQL plus a willingness to learn new software development languages to meet goals and objectives.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Databricks, QuickSight, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working asynchronously with a distributed team.
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of data governance principles, data integration, data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, such as HIPAA and GDPR.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
