Job Details of Entry Level File Clerk
Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott LLP (PBFCM) has an immediate opening for an entry-level Litigation File Clerk in our Houston office.
PBFCM has been in business since 1970. We represent more than 2000 governmental entities in Texas school districts, cities, counties, hospital districts, appraisal districts, and special districts. We have grown steadily every year. We currently have 15 offices across Texas with over 50 attorneys and more than 400 employees. Essential Job Functions
- Provide clerical support to the legal assistants and attorneys as needed in the collaborative efforts to move cases forward
- Maintain and process documents within document storage software
- Prepare and e-file litigation documents with various courts
- Prepare various outgoing letters
- Correspond daily via email with legal assistants and attorneys
- Maintain and update databases including e-cabinet system and firm’s custom case management system
- Meet daily deadlines related to the many aspects of the litigation process
- Additional clerical or administrative duties, as needed or assigned
Experience Requirement
- As an entry level position no experience is required; however at least one (1) year experience in an office setting is preferred
- Previous experience in a law office, with a general understanding of the litigation process is a plus
Education Requirement
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Strong grammar, spelling and general math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to travel by air or car.
